If you could recommend 3 books to anyone, what would they be?

How to Write a Thesis by Umberto Eco

I would recommend this to students struggling with writing and teachers struggling to teach their students how to write. It helped me survive graduate school. It convinced me that writing is easy. And, it made me realize that writing isn’t for me.

The Flight of Dragons by Peter Dickinson and The Dragon and the George by George R. Dickson

Anyone who grew up with fantasy films and books, especially in the 70s and 80s. And of course, dragon fanatics. Saw the movie adaptation first when I was a kid (The Flight of Dragons) and was captivated. Read the books as an adult and became hooked.

Finally, a cookbook that made me feel that I have the capacity to feed myself when the need arises. It’s hilarious too. The notes by the contributors of the recipes made me chuckle while chopping onions.

What are you reading now?

“I am always on the lookout for books on and by Architect Le Corbusier and the Bauhaus Movement. Recommendations are most welcome.”
